Our Dispute Resolution Team specialises in supporting companies, business owners and investors by resolving legal issues and disputes they might face.

We listen to what our clients want to achieve and use every tool at our disposal to ensure our clients get the best outcome that can be achieved for them. Whether it is through negotiation or by taking the matter to court, we are always in our client’s corner.

The Team are experts in their fields and regularly deal with:

Commercial Matters – including shareholder and director disputes, partnership disputes, contract disputes, supply chain issues, insolvency claims.

Construction Disputes – such as defective work, late payments, liquidated damages claims (LADs), insolvent employers, construction contract claims.

Property Claims – including boundary disputes, restrictive covenant issues, nuisance and rights of way, commercial landlord and tenant, residential landlord and tenant, recovery of rent arrears.

Employment Disputes – including defending against employee claims, work status disputes, and disputed staff transfers (TUPE) between employers.

We are experienced in dealing with legal claims, both domestically and internationally, whether in the courts, by adjudication, or by arbitration.

We realise, though, that clients often want to avoid formal proceedings when dealing with their dispute and as such we are always alive to other proactive methods of alternative dispute resolution.

Matt Huddleson

Matt trained with an international law firm, prior to spending over 10 years with a top 100 law firm where he was responsible for leading their employment team across six offices, before joining OTB Eveling LLP in June 2017.

Matt is known for his strategic advisory offering. He advises corporate and commercial employers on a range of employment and people related issues including restructuring projects, staff transfers and TUPE, employment litigation, outsourcing, and industrial relations.

Michael is an associate solicitor in the commercial litigation department who has over 12 years’ experience in dealing with a range of issues for commercial and construction clients.
