OTB Eveling recently acted as solicitors for owners Mark Ellis and Jeremy Wood in the share sale of event caterer Mark Ellis Catering Company Limited (Mecco) to Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Mecco has a stellar client list having operated at the London 2012 Olympics, Wimbledon, the Ryder Cup, Queen’s Club, BBC Proms in the Park and the Farnborough Air Show.
The two businesses worked together at the recent Lord’s test match between England and New Zealand and Ellis and Wood join the board of Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts as minority shareholders with a financial interest in the combined business.

Richard Biggs, led the transaction.

Richard commented: “It is always enjoyable working on a deal with clients whose activities coincide with your own passions, mine including sport and decent food and wine. This deal, teaming up with another renowned brand in the catering industry, provides Mecco with stability and financial strength going forwards.”

Jamie Oliver added: “This partnership with Mecco is perfect, timely and exciting. They’re a brilliant catering company with great expertise, brilliant staff and years of experience, and our combined team will simply allow us to deliver a wider set of solutions to our clients. We’re all very excited.”
