Keith is Head of our Property Team and a commercial property specialist.
Keith has worked in Exeter for more than 25 years, and advises on the full spectrum of commercial property transactions. He has been recognised for many years as a “Leader in his Field” by Chambers UK Legal Directory.

James started his legal career in the City of London with a leading international practice before spending four years working in Australia predominantly advising venture capital clients and investee companies in the IT sector. On returning to the UK, James became a partner in a local firm before setting up his own practice, which he grew successfully until merging with Over Taylor Biggs to form OTB Eveling LLP.
James has 15 years experience working on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters for multinationals and owner managed businesses. He regularly advises on company sales and acquisitions, joint venture agreements and commercial trading arrangements.
Matt trained with an international law firm, prior to spending over 10 years with a top 100 law firm where he was responsible for leading their employment team across six offices, before joining OTB Eveling LLP in June 2017.
Matt is known for his strategic advisory offering. He advises corporate and commercial employers on a range of employment and people related issues including restructuring projects, staff transfers and TUPE, employment litigation, outsourcing, and industrial relations.
Mark worked for international law firms and an award winning barristers’ chambers in London before relocating to the West Country in 2015.
Mark joined OTB Eveling in October 2017 and is responsible for HR, IT, financial planning and the general day-to-day management of the operation.
Annelie is a corporate and commercial solicitor who has over 17 years’ experience in advising businesses on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
Annelie worked as General Counsel and Company Secretary for Flybe Group plc. Prior to working at Flybe, Annelie was a partner in the corporate and commercial team of a leading regional law firm.
Annelie regularly advises on shareholder agreements, the sale and purchase of shares and assets, partnership matters, joint venture and LLP agreements, terms and conditions for the sale and purchase of goods and/or services, agency agreements, distribution agreements and online trading and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016.
Michael is an associate solicitor in the commercial litigation department who has over 12 years’ experience in dealing with a range of issues for commercial and construction clients.
Michael’s aim is to find a practical solution to his clients’ problems, so they can be resolved in a face and cost-effective way. He does this by understanding their business, getting to the root cause of the issues and considering what the priorities are. He knows that clients don’t want legal ‘jargon’ and simply need a solution to their problem.

Matthew qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2017. He worked in Belfast before becoming dual qualified in Northern Ireland and England and Wales and joining the corporate team of OTB Eveling in January 2019.
Carl began his legal career at Over Taylor Biggs in 2007 and remained at the firm when it became OTB Eveling in 2012.
During that time Carl has developed extensive experience in all areas of residential and commercial property transactional work.
Carl advises developers and individuals on all aspects of development sales, acquisitions, site set up and plot sales.
Sarah trained with and worked for a global law firm for six years before relocating to the South West in 2013. Sarah then worked for a long established local firm until joining OTB Eveling LLP in September 2018.
Sarah has a broad experience of advising a range of businesses and organisations on all areas of employment law. Sarah provides advice on contentious and non-contentious matters including employee relations, employment tribunal litigation, equality and diversity, senior executive exits and business restructures and reorganisations. Sarah provides advice on complex investigations and risk management as well as strategic support on litigation.
Sarah also provides support to the Corporate team on employee related aspects of acquisitions and transfers, outsourcing and change management.
David began his legal career at a top 500 regional law firm before joining OTB Eveling LLP in November 2018.
David advises sole traders, directors, partners, property investors and developers on all aspects of commercial property work, including acquisitions and disposals, secured lending, and development. David has particular experience in landlord and tenant matters and licensed property transactions.
Lisa trained at and spent 10 years working for a global law firm before moving from London to join OTB Eveling LLP in September 2019.
Lisa is experienced in advising a diverse range of corporate and commercial clients within private and in-house legal practice. She is skilled in commercial contracts, data protection and transactional and non-transactional corporate services across commercial, insurance, travel, healthcare, technology, sport, entertainment and arts sectors.
Emma started her legal career working in-house for 4 years with a global renewable energy developer before moving into private practice to work with a top 100 regional law firm for 2 years and joining OTB Eveling LLP in October 2015.
Emma advises companies, directors and shareholders on a wide range of corporate law related issues. She has experience in the sale and acquisition of businesses, companies and renewable energy projects, managing disclosure exercises, corporate governance and constitutional documentation.
Emma is a Newly Qualified Solicitor, who completed her legal training at a highly regarded commercial firm based in Cornwall after studying law at King’s College in London.
Emma is a new addition to our Corporate Team and she has particular experience with respect to assisting clients with the legal aspects of setting up companies, such as advising on the contents of articles of association and shareholders’ agreements, raising equity finance and acquiring and disposing of companies and businesses.
Rebecca joined OTB Eveling in October 2015 having previously worked for 7 years with a top 100 regional law firm. Rebecca acts for a wide range of corporate clients across various sectors. She has a wealth of experience in mergers, acquisitions, investments, constitutional documentation, restructurings, governance and joint ventures. Rebecca has a reputation for helping her clients achieve a commercially effective result, really getting to the heart of the things that matter.
Clare started her career in London where she worked for a leading international practice before locating to Bristol. In Bristol, she spent over 8 years working for a top 50 law firm before joining OTB Eveling in January 2020.
Clare is experienced in advising companies and individuals on a range of commercial property work, including acquisitions and disposals, property management, corporate occupier work and development. Clare has particular experience in the delivery of strategic land, acting for both landowners and developers on options, promotion agreements and conditional contracts.
